Star Hall. ]]> http://blog.tom.com/caijianya.socool/article/370.html Yes...it's been too long since my last update. So this might come in a little tardy...but I hope everyone's had a wonderful Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day:-)
So I've just got back from my annual solo trip to somewhere in seek of solitude, downtime, self-reflection, you know the drill...lol. Indeed. 2007 has been such an intense, exhausting yet self-fulfilling year for me, so much to digest. Stuck through the guts and dove headlong through the changes and challenges. The thought provoking part is, so....what next? This is one of those periods where I get a little of that panic attack, as the dust settles, you start to think how to raise that sand storm within your life again, yet your mind is a blank sheet of converse, you wonder if you can paint another picture out of nothing.
Nevertheless, there are still things to be done, songs to be sung and most importantly, a concert coming up on the 4th of March in Hong Kong! My first ticket selling one! I am extremely psyched for it. Took quite abit of energy to kick start my gear as we started rehearsals two days after I came back from my self indulgent trip..but the feeling was still...wow... It's an amazing feeling when you actually get to run through your whole list of songs over the last 10 years. Through these songs, you feel like you're walking down a memory lane, reliving some poignant moments in your life, realizing how much you've evolved as a musician and as a person, and even notice how your vocals have taken on a life of it's own. The old songs will never sound the same again, as you can never bring back that innocence and simplicity that you once had. Yet, there is a chance to breathe new life to them with what you feel and who you've become till now. That's what I really love about this upcoming concert. The musicians are amazing too...I think I have a really wonderful team of players who just came into the room and rocked the house down. There was this sense of unspoken chemistry from the first note we played. The most fun part were the times when the groove went out of the pocket or felt out dated, we would replay them again, improvise on the spot and suddenly get a brand new vibe to the song. I can't help but to gush over them ..

So, that's it! Time is ticking and I guess I'll see you guys at the finishing line!

it's me again. sorry this has to be in english again as i'm rushing off to perform in an hour's time. haven't really had time to sit down to read everything that you all have written and i do feel bad..i wish i had more time. but the traveling has been crazy..

so sorry i've not been been writing and for having to write this in english:-p(so tiiiiired.....)

then came another time where we were rushing to another performance in tianjin....we had a minor car accident on the road where we were hit from the back by another car! but ...didn't wanna alarm anyone of you...so....anyway...still in one piece.

well...so much for the adventures in my life for now.
然後今天差點錯過了回台北的飛機，因為應該來接我們去機場的車子竟然沒來！我們只好搭計程車去機場，一路在高速上飛奔。

Hey folks,

sorry haven't been writing much these days. just dropping by to say i'm alive and well. the new album is out and what a ride it has been since! thank you sooooo much for all the support and the kind words. you have no idea how much they mean to me.
traveling has been crazy. from the first base taipei, i've moved on to china...yes. the land of the billion and we've been from one city to another ..shanghai, chengdu(oh by the way! i finally saw a real panda!!!!!well..a few actually ), beijing(where i currently am writing this blog from...)and we're off to nanjing tomorrow as our last stop for the first league of promo in china. i must have repeated myself a million times..spoke till my voice turned hoarse, sang my heart out and ate ALOT of chinese food...some with msg and some without. i am very china-fied right now...yet still writing in english as usual lol
all is good. i do whine about why i have to talk and talk all the time, much to the annoyance and lack of empathy from my colleagues..why can't i just sing and sing to make up for the lack of talking...i guess that's show biz!
other than that...nothing else to update cept for my frequent wondering where my next destination of hideaway will be once the promo is over....maybe timbuktu...hmmm
